Randell builds prep stations, serving stations, refrigerators and freezers, and custom chef service counters, with hot food tables and drop-ins on the serving side. Its sidemount prep tables and FX convertible drawer units run a Danfoss control whose short code list covers temperature, the condenser, run time, voltage and sensors. We work on Randell sandwich and pizza prep stations, 9200 sidemount units, FX drawer units, chef bases, reach-ins, drop-ins and hot food tables. On custom chef service counters we service the refrigerated and heated sections. ### Two cooling systems in one drawer Randell's FX drawer units can run as a cooler at 40°F, as a low-temperature drawer at -5°F to 0°F, or anywhere between. Before judging a temperature complaint we confirm what the drawer is meant to hold. ### A control that protects the compressor The Danfoss control on Randell's 9200 sidemount units will not power the compressor below 104 volts. A Randell that stops cooling with uLi on the display is often telling the truth about the building's supply. ### Covers down between rushes Randell asks for the rail covers to stay closed between rushes and every pan to sit in the rail, with empty ones holding an inch or two of water. In kitchens above 80°F that habit decides whether the rail holds temperature. ### A quiet drawer alarm FX units flash dor after a drawer has been open two minutes, but the buzzer is off until someone sets a delay in the control menu. Many kitchens never notice it without that setting. Parts Randell points service and parts questions to its technical services site, and each operator manual ends with the wiring diagrams used to trace a sensor. On R290 units the replacement parts must suit a flammable-refrigerant system. Repair or replace A Randell prep station whose rail, lids and drawers are in good order is worth repairing when a sensor, fan, control or condenser motor fails. We weigh replacement when a compressor fails on an older unit that also has worn drawer slides or a damaged rail. Book your Randell visit ## What we are called out for. Open covers and missing pans let warm kitchen air into the rail. Randell asks for the covers closed between rushes and every pan in place, especially above 80°F. ### Can a Randell FX drawer run as a cooler or a low-temperature drawer? Yes. Randell describes the FX as two cooling systems in one, from 40°F down to between -5°F and 0°F, or anywhere in between. ### Why did my Randell stop cooling and show uLi? The Danfoss control holds the compressor off below 104 volts. Put the unit on its own dedicated line and have the supply checked. ### Where are the wiring diagrams for a Randell? At the end of the operator manual. They help the technician find the sensor behind each E code. --- **[Read on the site: Randell Restaurant Equipment Repair](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/brands/randell/)** **[Book a visit with CommercialApplianceRepair.center](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/schedule/)**
