The FQ4000 expects oil temperature to rise once it calls for heat. If the temperature does not respond, it logs E62 with the current reading and asks for the gas or power supply to be checked. A closed gas valve, a tripped breaker or an unplugged cord are the first suspects before any part is blamed. Often the cause sits outside the unit, such as a door left open during a delivery, a coil packed with grease, a kitchen far hotter than the maker allows or a booster fed cold water.
