--- title: "Huebsch EAF: the airflow switch flickered during the cycle" description: "What EAF means on Huebsch EAF: the airflow switch flickered during the cycles, what to check before booking, and when it is not a failure at all." url: "https://commercialappliancerepair.center/error-codes/huebsch-eaf/" --- # Huebsch EAF: the airflow switch flickered during the cycle A switch that bounces during a cycle usually means airflow is marginal: enough to close it most of the time but not steadily. ## What EAF actually means. A switch that bounces during a cycle usually means airflow is marginal: enough to close it most of the time but not steadily. Huebsch treats it the same way as EAF2, starting with the lint screen and ductwork. Huebsch commercial appliance display · also shown as E AF What to do when EAF shows on the commercial appliance ### Kind of code Sensors and probes A probe is handing the controller a reading it cannot trust, or none at all: a box or coil sensor torn loose from its clip, a fryer probe coated in carbon from oil left too long between filterings, a combi core probe with a kinked cable, or a connector gone green from steam and cleaning chemicals. The unit then runs on, stops, or shuts the heat or the cooling off to protect itself. Letting it cool and restarting it as the manual describes is fair; a probe that still reads wrong sits behind a panel, and that is a visit. ### Usually leads to Commercial controls and board repair Controllers, touch panels, relays, contactors and interlocks tested, and replaced only when the evidence says so. ### Shows up as Commercial Appliance Error Code on a Combi, Fryer, Dish Machine or Laundry Display A commercial appliance error code appears as letters or numbers on a combi, fryer, reach-in controller, dish machine or laundry machine display, or as a flashing light or an alarm tone. ### Make Huebsch Huebsch machines in an on-premise laundry are often visited when the housekeeping or linen team has finished its heaviest loads. ### Source Huebsch Galaxy 600 tumbler control manual 70474201ENR6 (Alliance Laundry Systems, 2023) Huebsch vended tumblers with the Galaxy 600 control covered by manual 70474201ENR6: single 25 and 30 lb and stacked 30 lb pockets in gas, steam and electric versions. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Huebsch's own guidance for EAF on its commercial appliances. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Clean the lint screen and check that the screen is seated correctly. 02 Look for a long, crushed or disconnected exhaust duct. 03 Clear with MED TEMP and DELICATES, and book a visit if EAF shows again. ### Still there? Book with the code and the model number. ### What not to do EAF is not EAF1 or EAF2; those catch a switch that fails to open at the end or to close at the start. None of the three means the burner or heater failed. ## What you may notice with it. The commercial appliance problem EAF tends to arrive with. Clean the lint screen and check that the screen is seated correctly. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### What makes a Huebsch airflow switch bounce? Air that is just barely strong enough, such as from a half-blocked duct, lets the switch flutter. ### Is EAF on a Huebsch caused by the switch itself? Sometimes, but a restricted air path is far more common and is checked first. ### Does EAF stop the load on a Huebsch? The code has to be cleared by power cycling or the two-key reset before the pocket runs normally. --- **[Read on the site: Huebsch EAF: the airflow switch flickered during the cycle](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/error-codes/huebsch-eaf/)** **[Book a visit with CommercialApplianceRepair.center](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/schedule/)**
