PFD machines open the door on their own at the end of a program to help drying, using locking pins driven by the control. When the door does not open, or the pins stay out once it has, the alarm sounds and F33 shows. Miele Professional commercial appliance display What to do when F33 shows on the commercial appliance ### Kind of code Controls and power The controller itself is reporting trouble, or the supply behind it is: a display with dead segments, a keypad that stopped responding after steam or degreaser got behind it, relays that stick, stored recipes or cycles that vanished overnight, a blown control fuse, or one leg of a three-phase feed missing so half the heat or the pump is gone. A full power cycle at the breaker, done as the manual describes, clears a passing glitch; a code that returns, a scorched smell or any sign of moisture behind the panel means the breaker stays off, and that is a visit. ### Usually leads to Commercial controls and board repair Controllers, touch panels, relays, contactors and interlocks tested, and replaced only when the evidence says so. ### Shows up as Commercial Appliance Error Code on a Combi, Fryer, Dish Machine or Laundry Display A commercial appliance error code appears as letters or numbers on a combi, fryer, reach-in controller, dish machine or laundry machine display, or as a flashing light or an alarm tone. ### Make Miele Professional Miele Professional machines in a small business laundry are usually visited at the start of the day, before the first full load. ### Source Miele Professional PFD 101 U / PFD 102i commercial dish machine operating instructions, en-US (media.miele.com) Miele Professional PFD 101 U built-under and PFD 102 i integrated commercial dish machines (en-US operating instructions); the PFD 401 U and PFD 404 U fresh-water machines are sold alongside them. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Miele Professional's own guidance for F33 on its commercial appliances. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Turn the machine off, then open the door by hand as described under Opening the door in the manual. 02 Turn the machine back on and see whether F33 returns. 03 If it does, book a visit so the door release and locking pins can be checked. ### Still there? It usually turns into [commercial controls and board repair](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/services/commercial-controls-and-board-repair/). Book with the code and the model number. ### What not to do F33 is about the door release, not a leak or water problem; the Waterproof message covers leaks. It does not mean the wash itself failed, so the load inside has usually been washed. ## What you may notice with it. The commercial appliance problem F33 tends to arrive with. Turn the machine off, then open the door by hand as described under Opening the door in the manual. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Why does the Miele Professional door stay shut at the end of a cycle? The auto-open system did not release, and F33 records that. The door can still be opened by hand as the manual shows. ### Are the dishes clean if F33 appears? Usually yes, because the message comes at the door-opening step. Check the load and dry it if the door stayed closed. ### Can we keep using the machine with F33? If it clears after a restart, yes. If F33 keeps returning, the door release needs a technician. --- **[Read on the site: Miele Professional F33: the dish machine door did not open automatically](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/error-codes/miele-professional-f33/)** **[Book a visit with CommercialApplianceRepair.center](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/schedule/)**
