A heat-pump tumbler depends on air moving freely through its lint filters, plinth filter and heat exchanger. When that airflow drops, the program stops and this message appears. Miele also notes a small item sucked into the loading area can block the laundry deflector holes. Miele Professional commercial appliance display · also shown as Rinse the lint filter and plinth filter. Check the airways. What to do when Rinse the lint filter and plinth filter shows on the commercial appliance ### Kind of code Motors and drives Something that should turn is not turning, or not at the speed the controller expects. A washer-extractor's drive or its inverter may stop the spin when the load is out of balance or a bearing drags, a tumbler's belt may slip so the drum barely moves, a convection or combi fan may slow on worn bearings and bake unevenly, and a dish machine's wash pump may hum without spraying. Redistributing a load, confirming the door is latched and running the machine's own test cycle are fair; a drum, a belt or a motor is a visit, and nobody reaches into a drum that could still move. ### Usually leads to Commercial laundry machine repair Coin, card and on-premise laundry machines and tumblers: door locks, bearings, inverters, burners and payment hardware. ### Shows up as Commercial Appliance Error Code on a Combi, Fryer, Dish Machine or Laundry Display A commercial appliance error code appears as letters or numbers on a combi, fryer, reach-in controller, dish machine or laundry machine display, or as a flashing light or an alarm tone. ### Make Miele Professional Miele Professional machines in a small business laundry are usually visited at the start of the day, before the first full load. ### Source Miele Professional PDR 908 HP Little Giants heat-pump tumbler operating and installation instructions, en-US M.-Nr. 12 451 060 (media.miele.com) Miele Professional PDR 908 HP Little Giants heat-pump tumblers (en-US instructions M.-Nr. 12 451 060). ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Miele Professional's own guidance for Rinse the lint filter and plinth filter on its commercial appliances. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Touch OK to clear the message, open the door and remove any small item blocking the holes in the loading area. 02 Clean all lint filters and the plinth filter as shown under Cleaning and care; squeeze it out well, because a filter put back dripping wet can bring the message back. 03 If the message returns even with clean filters, fit a new plinth filter as Miele suggests, and book a visit if that does not clear it. ### Still there? It usually turns into [commercial laundry machine repair](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/services/commercial-laundry-machine-repair/). Book with the code and the model number. ### What not to do This message is about airflow, not a heating failure. Touch OK to clear the message, open the door and remove any small item blocking the holes in the loading area. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Why does our Miele tumbler stop with the lint filter message after drying small items? Small items dried alone can be pulled into the loading area and block the deflector holes. Dry them with larger items. ### We cleaned the plinth filter and the message came back. Why? Miele says leftover residue in the filter can still restrict airflow. A replacement plinth filter usually settles it. ### How often should the filters on a Miele PDR 908 be cleaned? Clean the lint filters after every load and the plinth filter whenever the message appears or drying slows. In a busy laundry that can be daily. --- **[Read on the site: Miele Professional heat-pump tumbler: rinse the lint filter and plinth filter](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/error-codes/miele-professional-pdr-rinse-the-lint-filter/)** **[Book a visit with CommercialApplianceRepair.center](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/schedule/)**
