Before a fast spin, the machine checks balance. If the load is badly unbalanced, it holds the spin speed down to protect itself and shows this message at the end of the program. Miele points to the machine being level and to mixing item sizes in a load. Miele Professional commercial appliance display · also shown as Align the machine. Laundry not properly spun What to do when Align the machine shows on the commercial appliance ### Kind of code Motors and drives Something that should turn is not turning, or not at the speed the controller expects. A washer-extractor's drive or its inverter may stop the spin when the load is out of balance or a bearing drags, a tumbler's belt may slip so the drum barely moves, a convection or combi fan may slow on worn bearings and bake unevenly, and a dish machine's wash pump may hum without spraying. Redistributing a load, confirming the door is latched and running the machine's own test cycle are fair; a drum, a belt or a motor is a visit, and nobody reaches into a drum that could still move. ### Usually leads to Commercial laundry machine repair Coin, card and on-premise laundry machines and tumblers: door locks, bearings, inverters, burners and payment hardware. ### Shows up as Commercial Appliance Error Code on a Combi, Fryer, Dish Machine or Laundry Display A commercial appliance error code appears as letters or numbers on a combi, fryer, reach-in controller, dish machine or laundry machine display, or as a flashing light or an alarm tone. ### Make Miele Professional Miele Professional machines in a small business laundry are usually visited at the start of the day, before the first full load. ### Source Miele Professional PWM 908 Little Giants laundry machine operating and installation instructions, en-US M.-Nr. 12 805 440 (media.miele.com) Miele Professional PWM 908 Little Giants machines with electric heating and drain pump or drain valve (en-US instructions M.-Nr. 12 805 440). ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Miele Professional's own guidance for Align the machine on its commercial appliances. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Confirm the message with OK, then spread the load out and start a spin cycle again. 02 Check that the machine stands level and that its feet are secured. 03 Mix large and small items in future loads; if the message keeps appearing on normal loads, book a visit. ### Still there? It usually turns into [commercial laundry machine repair](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/services/commercial-laundry-machine-repair/). Book with the code and the model number. ### What not to do This is a balance problem, not a drain problem; water that will not pump out shows the drainage message. It is not a motor failure, although a machine that never spins at all needs service. ## What you may notice with it. The commercial appliance problems Align the machine tends to arrive with. Confirm the message with OK, then spread the load out and start a spin cycle again. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Why does our Miele Little Giants leave single heavy items soaking wet? One heavy item, like a bath mat, cannot be balanced alone. Add some smaller items so the machine can spread the weight. ### Does an unlevel floor cause this message? It can. Miele asks for the machine to be level with its feet secured, which also reduces shaking. ### Is it safe to keep running after this message? Yes, once the load is spread out. Repeated messages on mixed loads point to a mechanical problem worth checking. --- **[Read on the site: Miele Professional Little Giants: align the machine, laundry not properly spun](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/error-codes/miele-professional-pwm-align-the-machine/)** **[Book a visit with CommercialApplianceRepair.center](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/schedule/)**
