--- title: "Rational Service 47.1: the waste water pump is not working" description: "What Service 47.1 means on Rational Service 47.1: the waste water pump is not workings, what to check before booking, and when it is not a failure at all." url: "https://commercialappliancerepair.center/error-codes/rational-service-47-1/" --- # Rational Service 47.1: the waste water pump is not working During automatic cleaning the iCombi Pro pumps used water out of the cabinet. ## What Service 47.1 actually means. During automatic cleaning the iCombi Pro pumps used water out of the cabinet. Service 47.1 reports that the waste water pump is defective. Rational still lists cooking as possible. Rational commercial appliance display · also shown as 47.1, Service 47.2 What to do when Service 47.1 shows on the commercial appliance ### Kind of code Motors and drives Something that should turn is not turning, or not at the speed the controller expects. A washer-extractor's drive or its inverter may stop the spin when the load is out of balance or a bearing drags, a tumbler's belt may slip so the drum barely moves, a convection or combi fan may slow on worn bearings and bake unevenly, and a dish machine's wash pump may hum without spraying. Redistributing a load, confirming the door is latched and running the machine's own test cycle are fair; a drum, a belt or a motor is a visit, and nobody reaches into a drum that could still move. ### Usually leads to Commercial laundry machine repair Coin, card and on-premise laundry machines and tumblers: door locks, bearings, inverters, burners and payment hardware. ### Shows up as Commercial Appliance Error Code on a Combi, Fryer, Dish Machine or Laundry Display A commercial appliance error code appears as letters or numbers on a combi, fryer, reach-in controller, dish machine or laundry machine display, or as a flashing light or an alarm tone. ### Make Rational A Rational visit is timed after the evening cleaning cycle, when the cabinet is cool and the display can be read without a load inside. ### Source RATIONAL iCombi Pro floor units 20-1/1 and 20-2/1, original instructions for use (US English) Listed in the iCareSystem cleaning error table of the iCombi Pro floor unit instructions (20-1/1 and 20-2/1, US English). Service 47.2 carries the same wording. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Rational's own guidance for Service 47.1 on its commercial appliances. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Check the drain screen and outlet in the cabinet floor for food scraps, fat or foil that could block the flow. 02 Check beneath the oven for pooled water and keep staff off that spot until it is mopped dry. 03 Book a visit before the next automatic clean. ### Still there? It usually turns into [commercial laundry machine repair](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/services/commercial-laundry-machine-repair/). Book with the code and the model number. ### What not to do Service 47.1 is not the circulating pump (Service 48.1) or the steam generator pump (Service 110). It does not stop cooking, but it will stop cleaning working properly. ## What you may notice with it. The commercial appliance problems Service 47.1 tends to arrive with. Check the drain screen and outlet in the cabinet floor for food scraps, fat or foil that could block the flow. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Can I still cook on a Rational with Service 47.1? Yes. Rational lists cooking as possible; the pump is needed for cleaning, so book the repair before the next clean. ### Why is there water on the floor with Service 47.1 on my Rational? If the waste water pump cannot move water out, it can collect where it should not. Keep people clear and dry the floor before anyone works near the oven. ### Is Service 47.2 different from 47.1 on a Rational? The manual gives both the same wording. The number helps the technician tell which pump step failed. --- **[Read on the site: Rational Service 47.1: the waste water pump is not working](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/error-codes/rational-service-47-1/)** **[Book a visit with CommercialApplianceRepair.center](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/schedule/)**
