Speed Queen front-loads judge water height with a pressure sensor. When its signal goes missing for 30 seconds, the control drains for 30 seconds to get rid of water, unlocks the door and stops with E PS. A loose sensor hose, a harness or the sensor itself are the suspects. Speed Queen commercial appliance display · also shown as EPS What to do when E PS shows on the commercial appliance ### Kind of code Sensors and probes A probe is handing the controller a reading it cannot trust, or none at all: a box or coil sensor torn loose from its clip, a fryer probe coated in carbon from oil left too long between filterings, a combi core probe with a kinked cable, or a connector gone green from steam and cleaning chemicals. The unit then runs on, stops, or shuts the heat or the cooling off to protect itself. Letting it cool and restarting it as the manual describes is fair; a probe that still reads wrong sits behind a panel, and that is a visit. ### Usually leads to Commercial controls and board repair Controllers, touch panels, relays, contactors and interlocks tested, and replaced only when the evidence says so. ### Shows up as Commercial Appliance Error Code on a Combi, Fryer, Dish Machine or Laundry Display A commercial appliance error code appears as letters or numbers on a combi, fryer, reach-in controller, dish machine or laundry machine display, or as a flashing light or an alarm tone. ### Make Speed Queen A Speed Queen machine in a laundromat or apartment laundry room is often booked for a weekday morning, when the fewest customers are waiting. ### Source Speed Queen commercial front-load vended models, control manual 807870ENR5 (Alliance Laundry Systems) Speed Queen commercial front-load vended and card models listed in manual 807870ENR5, such as SFNNCASP116TW01 and STGNXASP116TW01. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Speed Queen's own guidance for E PS on its commercial appliances. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Let the machine finish its short drain and unlock the door. 02 Power it down, wait a minute and power it up to see whether E PS clears. 03 If E PS returns on the next cycle, tag the machine off and book a visit. ### Still there? It usually turns into [commercial controls and board repair](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/services/commercial-controls-and-board-repair/). Book with the code and the model number. ### What not to do E PS does not mean the tub is overfilled; it means the control cannot read the level at all. It is also different from E nFLo, where the sensor works but sees no water arriving. ## What you may notice with it. The commercial appliance problem E PS tends to arrive with. Let the machine finish its short drain and unlock the door. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Does a Speed Queen with E PS still fill with water? No. Without a level reading the control will not fill safely, so it drains and shuts down instead. ### Why did E PS appear on a Speed Queen right after it was moved? Moving a machine can pull or kink the small hose to the pressure sensor or loosen its connector. That is checked with the panels open. ### Is E PS on a Speed Queen a board problem? Sometimes, but the hose and harness are cheaper and more common causes and are tested first. --- **[Read on the site: Speed Queen E PS: the water level sensor is not reporting](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/error-codes/speed-queen-e-ps/)** **[Book a visit with CommercialApplianceRepair.center](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/schedule/)**
