The cabinet sensor is what the R & A Series control uses to decide when to cool. When it fails, the control can no longer read the box properly, and Traulsen marks SN1 as a message that needs service. Traulsen commercial appliance display What to do when SN1 shows on the commercial appliance ### Kind of code Sensors and probes A probe is handing the controller a reading it cannot trust, or none at all: a box or coil sensor torn loose from its clip, a fryer probe coated in carbon from oil left too long between filterings, a combi core probe with a kinked cable, or a connector gone green from steam and cleaning chemicals. The unit then runs on, stops, or shuts the heat or the cooling off to protect itself. Check the food with a separate thermometer and log the reading. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Can a Traulsen keep cooling with SN1 on the display? It may run in a fallback mode, but you cannot rely on it. Check the food with your own thermometer until the sensor is replaced. ### Is SN1 on a Traulsen a big repair?
