UniMac extractors carry a frame stability switch that trips if the machine moves more than it should. E FS ends the cycle; loose anchor bolts, a cracked base or a badly out-of-balance load can all open it. UniMac commercial appliance display · also shown as EFS What to do when E FS shows on the commercial appliance ### Kind of code Sensors and probes A probe is handing the controller a reading it cannot trust, or none at all: a box or coil sensor torn loose from its clip, a fryer probe coated in carbon from oil left too long between filterings, a combi core probe with a kinked cable, or a connector gone green from steam and cleaning chemicals. The unit then runs on, stops, or shuts the heat or the cooling off to protect itself. Letting it cool and restarting it as the manual describes is fair; a probe that still reads wrong sits behind a panel, and that is a visit. ### Usually leads to Commercial controls and board repair Controllers, touch panels, relays, contactors and interlocks tested, and replaced only when the evidence says so. ### Shows up as Commercial Appliance Error Code on a Combi, Fryer, Dish Machine or Laundry Display A commercial appliance error code appears as letters or numbers on a combi, fryer, reach-in controller, dish machine or laundry machine display, or as a flashing light or an alarm tone. ### Make UniMac UniMac equipment in a facility laundry room is usually serviced after the heaviest morning loads are out. ### Source UniMac UW-series washer-extractor control manual F8552201R2 (Alliance Laundry Systems, 2017) UniMac UW-series hardmount extractors of 45 to 130 lb (UWH, UWL, UWN and UWU models) with the keypad control in manual F8552201. Each step comes from UniMac's own guidance for E FS on its commercial appliances. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Stop using the machine and look at the floor around its base for movement or cracked grout. 02 Unload the machine once the door unlocks and reload it evenly. 03 Book a visit if E FS returns; mounting bolts and the base are checked with tools. ### Still there? Stop using the machine and look at the floor around its base for movement or cracked grout. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Why does a hardmount UniMac need to be bolted down? Hardmount extractors rely on a rigid base during high-speed extract. If the anchoring loosens, the frame moves and the switch opens. ### Can a heavy load trip E FS on a UniMac? A badly balanced load can shake the frame enough. If it happens on normal loads, the mounting is the suspect. ### Is E FS a safety code on a UniMac? Yes. It stops a machine that is moving on its base before damage spreads. --- **[Read on the site: UniMac E FS: the frame stability switch opened](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/error-codes/unimac-e-fs/)** **[Book a visit with CommercialApplianceRepair.center](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/schedule/)**
