The door switch tells the Carel control when the door opens, and dor (log code 15) follows once it stays open. Victory's table sends the details to the control's door management settings, which decide what the fans and lights do while the door is open. Victory commercial appliance display What to do when dor shows on the commercial appliance ### Kind of code Temperature and alarms The controller has seen a temperature outside the band it was set for and is saying so: a box above its alarm point, a fryer vat or an oven cavity that tripped its high-limit, or a dish machine rinse that never came up to heat. Often the cause sits outside the unit, such as a door left open during a delivery, a coil packed with grease, a kitchen far hotter than the maker allows or a booster fed cold water. Checking the door, the coil and the air around the unit is fair; move the product if a cold box stays above 41°F, and book the visit. ### Usually leads to Reach-in and prep table repair Reach-ins, pass-throughs, prep tables and blast chillers: gaskets, hinges, fans, thermostats, condensers and compressors. ### Shows up as Commercial Appliance Error Code on a Combi, Fryer, Dish Machine or Laundry Display A commercial appliance error code appears as letters or numbers on a combi, fryer, reach-in controller, dish machine or laundry machine display, or as a flashing light or an alarm tone. ### Make Victory Victory cabinets in an institutional or hotel kitchen are visited with the kitchen manager on hand to confirm the temperature log. ### Source Victory RS and RSA reach-in installation and operating instructions, 809-190A rev. H (02/05/2026) From the alarm code table of the Carel control in Victory's RS/RSA reach-in manual (809-190A rev. H, 2026); the HS/HIS warming cabinet manual carries the same table. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Victory's own guidance for dor on its commercial appliances. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Close the door fully and check that nothing is holding it off the gasket. 02 Check the hinge and door closer if the door drifts open. 03 If dor stays with the door shut, book a visit to test the door switch. ### Still there? It usually turns into [reach-in and prep table repair](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/services/reach-in-and-prep-table-repair/). Book with the code and the model number. ### What not to do dor is not a temperature alarm, though a door left open will lead to one. On Victory ACRS air curtain units, which have no door, OPd is used for a door input on a different control. ## What you may notice with it. The commercial appliance problems dor tends to arrive with. Close the door fully and check that nothing is holding it off the gasket. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Why does my Victory beep dor with the door closed? The door switch still reads open, often because the door has sagged or the switch is worn. It needs testing. ### Does dor on a Victory stop the fans? Victory's table points to the control's door management settings, which can change fan and light behavior while the door is open. ### Can I see how often dor happened on my Victory? Yes. The alarm log on the keypad and the Carel Applica app keep a history. --- **[Read on the site: Victory dor: the door has been left open](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/error-codes/victory-dor/)** **[Book a visit with CommercialApplianceRepair.center](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/schedule/)**
