HF, log code 22, is the HACCP record the control keeps when the cabinet came back from a blackout above its limit. Like HA it shows without the buzzer and stays until reset, so the kitchen can see that food may have warmed while the power was off. Victory commercial appliance display What to do when HF shows on the commercial appliance ### Kind of code Temperature and alarms The controller has seen a temperature outside the band it was set for and is saying so: a box above its alarm point, a fryer vat or an oven cavity that tripped its high-limit, or a dish machine rinse that never came up to heat. Often the cause sits outside the unit, such as a door left open during a delivery, a coil packed with grease, a kitchen far hotter than the maker allows or a booster fed cold water. Checking the door, the coil and the air around the unit is fair; move the product if a cold box stays above 41°F, and book the visit. ### Usually leads to Reach-in and prep table repair Reach-ins, pass-throughs, prep tables and blast chillers: gaskets, hinges, fans, thermostats, condensers and compressors. ### Shows up as Commercial Appliance Error Code on a Combi, Fryer, Dish Machine or Laundry Display A commercial appliance error code appears as letters or numbers on a combi, fryer, reach-in controller, dish machine or laundry machine display, or as a flashing light or an alarm tone. ### Make Victory Victory cabinets in an institutional or hotel kitchen are visited with the kitchen manager on hand to confirm the temperature log. ### Source Victory RS and RSA reach-in installation and operating instructions, 809-190A rev. H (02/05/2026) From the alarm code table of the Carel control in Victory's RS/RSA reach-in manual (809-190A rev. H, 2026); the HS/HIS warming cabinet manual carries the same table. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Victory's own guidance for HF on its commercial appliances. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Find out how long the power was off and probe the food. 02 Decide on discard as your health code directs and note it on your log. 03 Reset HF once recorded. 04 If HF appears with no outage you know of, book a visit to check the supply to the unit. ### Still there? It usually turns into [reach-in and prep table repair](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/services/reach-in-and-prep-table-repair/). Book with the code and the model number. ### What not to do HF does not mean the control failed. It is a food safety note tied to a power loss, different from HA, which covers warm spells during normal running. ## What you may notice with it. Find out how long the power was off and probe the food. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### What should I do with food when my Victory shows HF? Probe it and apply your health code's rules for time above 41°F. The HF record shows the cabinet warmed after the outage. ### Why does my Victory show HF after a short outage? Even a short outage can let the cabinet warm past its limit, especially if doors were opened during it. ### Does HF on a Victory clear itself? No. Victory lists it as a manual reset. --- **[Read on the site: Victory HF: a HACCP record of high temperature after a blackout](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/error-codes/victory-hf/)** **[Book a visit with CommercialApplianceRepair.center](https://commercialappliancerepair.center/schedule/)**
