What E01
actually means.

Beverage-Air controls can read up to four sensors, S1 to S4. Its message table groups E01 to E04 under one explanation, a sensor unplugged or failed, and one action: service. The Cross Temp alarm table adds that each code covers a short or an open circuit on its sensor.

What to do when E01 shows on the commercial appliance

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Beverage-Air's own guidance for E01 on its commercial appliances. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Check food temperatures with a separate thermometer; the display may be wrong.

02

Keep doors closed to help the cabinet hold.

03

Book a visit and give the exact E number.

It usually turns into commercial controls and board repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

An E code is not a warm alarm by itself. It is also not caused by loading or by the door.

Where E01 usually leads

Commercial controls and board repair.

Controller, touch panel, probe or sensor, relay, contactor, power supply, door switch or interlock, tested before anything is changed · moderate.

Questions
about E01.

Can I clear E01 myself?
Check food temperatures with a separate thermometer; the display may be wrong. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Can a Beverage-Air keep cooling with E01?
It may, but the reading it relies on is gone. Check the food with your own thermometer.
Why did E02 appear after cleaning my Beverage-Air?
Beverage-Air's own wording says unplugged or failed; a connector pulled during cleaning is a common cause.
Which sensor is E01 on a Beverage-Air?
It is sensor S1 on the control. Where S1 sits depends on the model, which the technician checks on the wiring diagram.

Back to your everyday

Still showing E01?

A booking with a code goes further when it has the code as shown, the model and serial from the data plate, and a word on whether the unit still holds temperature, heats, rinses or spins. With those three, the office can match the likely part to your unit the same day.
