If that confirmation does not arrive within 15 seconds of the call for the fan, the control posts Fan Error. The service sheet sends technicians to the inverter first.

Something that should turn is not turning, or not at the speed the controller expects. A washer-extractor's drive or its inverter may stop the spin when the load is out of balance or a bearing drags, a tumbler's belt may slip so the drum barely moves, a convection or combi fan may slow on worn bearings and bake unevenly, and a dish machine's wash pump may hum without spraying. Redistributing a load, confirming the door is latched and running the machine's own test cycle are fair; a drum, a belt or a motor is a visit, and nobody reaches into a drum that could still move.

Check the fan area inside the cavity (with the oven cool) for a loose pan or rack that could block the fan wheel.
