What uLi
actually means.

Randell's 9200 manual says the Danfoss control has low voltage protection and will not send power to the compressor below 104 volts. uLi is the display that goes with it. Randell asks for each unit on its own dedicated line and a voltage reading at the compressor while it runs.

What to do when uLi shows on the commercial appliance

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Randell's own guidance for uLi on its commercial appliances. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Plug the unit directly into its own dedicated outlet, with no extension cord or power strip.

02

Note whether other equipment on the circuit was starting when uLi appeared.

03

Have the circuit checked by an electrician, then book a visit if uLi returns on good voltage.

Still there?

It usually turns into commercial controls and board repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

uLi is protection working as intended, not a broken control. Randell's action for it is a voltage check by a qualified technician.

Questions
about uLi.

Can I clear uLi myself?
Plug the unit directly into its own dedicated outlet, with no extension cord or power strip. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Why did my Randell stop cooling and show uLi?
The control holds the compressor off when voltage drops below 104 volts, to protect it. Fix the supply and it resumes.
Does a Randell need its own circuit?
Yes. Randell's manual says it is important that the unit has its own dedicated line.
Can low voltage damage a Randell compressor?
Randell warns that voltage outside plus or minus 10 percent of the data tag can burn out a condensing unit.

Still showing uLi?

A booking with a code goes further when it has the code as shown, the model and serial from the data plate, and a word on whether the unit still holds temperature, heats, rinses or spins. With those three, the office can match the likely part to your unit the same day.
