What uHi
actually means.

The same controls that warn of low voltage also watch for voltage that is too high, above 140 volts. High voltage stresses the compressor, fans and the control itself. It usually points to a wiring or supply issue in the building.

What to do when uHi shows on the commercial appliance

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Delfield's own guidance for uHi on its commercial appliances. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Do not keep resetting the unit; note when uHi appears.

02

Ask an electrician to measure the outlet and check the circuit wiring.

03

Book a visit if uHi remains once the supply is confirmed normal.

Still there?

It usually turns into commercial controls and board repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

uHi is not a temperature alarm and not a failed control. It is the opposite of uLi, which warns of voltage under 96 volts.

Where uHi usually leads

Commercial controls and board repair.

Controller, touch panel, probe or sensor, relay, contactor, power supply, door switch or interlock, tested before anything is changed · moderate.

Supply problems in the building, such as a loose neutral or a wiring error, are the usual reasons. An electrician measures before any part is changed.

Still showing uHi?

A booking with a code goes further when it has the code as shown, the model and serial from the data plate, and a word on whether the unit still holds temperature, heats, rinses or spins. With those three, the office can match the likely part to your unit the same day.
