What LO H2O
actually means.

Humidified FSCDH display cabinets alternate LO H2O with the cabinet temperature until their six-quart reservoir is full. It is a fill prompt, and it doubles as the fill gauge: the manual tells you to stop pouring once LO H2O stops flashing. There is one twist worth knowing: the low water probe senses minerals, so pure distilled water can leave LO H2O flashing even when the reservoir is full.

What to do when LO H2O shows on the commercial appliance

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Hatco's own guidance for LO H2O on its commercial appliances. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Fill the reservoir slowly through the water fill cup and stop the moment LO H2O stops flashing; overfilling creates a shock hazard.

02

If you use distilled water and LO H2O keeps flashing on a full reservoir, add one teaspoon of salt on the initial fill as the manual advises.

03

Do not use deionized water, which Hatco says shortens the life of the reservoir and heaters.

04

If LO H2O stays on with the reservoir full and salt added, book a visit for the low water protection system.

What not to do

LO H2O is a normal refill prompt, not a failure. It is also different from Lo on a non-humidified cabinet, which reports a cabinet below 70°F.

Questions
about LO H2O.

Can I clear LO H2O myself?
Fill the reservoir slowly through the water fill cup and stop the moment LO H2O stops flashing; overfilling creates a shock hazard. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Why does LO H2O keep flashing on my Hatco cabinet when it is full?
If you use distilled water, the low water probe may not sense it. Hatco suggests a teaspoon of salt on the first fill; if that does not help, the probe needs service.
How much water does a Hatco FSCDH reservoir hold?
The manual gives six quarts. Fill slowly and stop when the flashing ends rather than filling to the brim.
Should I use tap or distilled water in a Hatco display cabinet?
Hatco recommends distilled water to protect parts, warns against deionized water, and says tap water means regular cleaning and deliming of the reservoir.

A booking with a code goes further when it has the code as shown, the model and serial from the data plate, and a word on whether the unit still holds temperature, heats, rinses or spins. With those three, the office can match the likely part to your unit the same day.
