No. It exists so the burners or elements never fire into a draining tank. A switch that fails needs replacing, not bypassing.
What if the automatic drain on my Pitco will not close?
Pitco says an obstruction in the drain line can hold it open. Let the fryer cool fully before anyone clears it; a valve that still stays open needs a technician.
