actually means.
LXn machines draw detergent, rinse aid and sanitizer through their own pumps. When the detergent line runs dry for the set number of cycles, the screen reads Detergent empty. Refill detergent with 074. If ignored, the machine can move on to 077 and lock out until detergent is replaced.

Check that the cap and pickup tube are firmly secured to the container.
Press ENTER to prime the detergent pump, repeating until product reaches the machine.
Book a visit if 074 returns with a full container, since the pump or its sensor may need service.

The code is gone from the controller, the box pulls down to its set point and holds it, the vat or the cavity reaches temperature and recovers on schedule, the rinse hits its heat and the drum finishes its spin, all without a new part. If the same code comes back within a week, or during the next busy shift, mention it when you book.
