What Service 60
actually means.

Gas iCombi Pro units use an ignition box to light and watch the burners. Service 60 reports that it did not start up correctly. Rational asks you to restart the unit and to contact a service partner only if the message stays.

What to do when Service 60 shows on the commercial appliance

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Rational's own guidance for Service 60 on its commercial appliances. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Switch the oven off, wait a moment, and switch it on again.

02

When the number goes away, resume cooking and log the time it happened.

03

If Service 60 is still displayed after the restart, book a visit and mention it is a gas unit.

Still there?

It usually turns into commercial cooking line gas repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

Service 60 does not report a burner that failed during cooking; those are the 32 and 33 numbers. It also does not ask you to close the gas valve, unlike Service 32.1.

Questions
about Service 60.

Can I clear Service 60 myself?
Switch the oven off, wait a moment, and switch it on again. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Can I fix Service 60 on a Rational myself?
Rational allows one step: switch the unit off and on again. If the number survives the restart, book a visit.
Is Service 60 on a Rational dangerous?
It reports that the ignition box did not start, not that gas is escaping. If you smell gas at any time, follow the gas emergency steps printed at the front of the manual.
Why does Service 60 appear only on some Rational ovens?
It belongs to gas units, which have an ignition box. Electric iCombi Pro models do not use one.

Still showing Service 60?

A booking with a code goes further when it has the code as shown, the model and serial from the data plate, and a word on whether the unit still holds temperature, heats, rinses or spins. With those three, the office can match the likely part to your unit the same day.
