What E SH
actually means.

On UniMac extractors with a temperature sensor, E SH turns off heating and all sensor-based steps for the rest of the cycle. The sensor, its wiring or water in a connector can cause a shorted reading.

What to do when E SH shows on the commercial appliance

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from UniMac's own guidance for E SH on its commercial appliances. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Let the machine finish and check whether the load needs rewashing.

02

Power it down and up to see whether the reading returns to normal.

03

Book a visit if E SH comes back, since the sensor is reached from inside the cabinet.

Still there?

It usually turns into commercial controls and board repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

E SH does not mean the machine is dangerously hot; the reading itself is the problem. Its partner code E oP covers an open sensor.

What you may
notice with it.

The commercial appliance problem E SH tends to arrive with. Answer these at the commercial appliance before anyone is booked.

Questions
about E SH.

Can I clear E SH myself?
Let the machine finish and check whether the load needs rewashing. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Is my UniMac actually at 220°F when it shows E SH?
No. Water in the cylinder cannot reach that; the control is reading a shorted sensor circuit.
Will a UniMac keep heating after E SH?
No. The heater and temperature steps are disabled until the machine is powered down and the sensor reads correctly.
Can a leak cause E SH on a UniMac?
Water reaching a sensor connector can short it, which is one more reason to check for drips inside the cabinet.

Still showing E SH?

A booking with a code goes further when it has the code as shown, the model and serial from the data plate, and a word on whether the unit still holds temperature, heats, rinses or spins. With those three, the office can match the likely part to your unit the same day.
