A clean modern laundromat with a long row of stainless front-load commercial laundry machines with round glass doors, a row of large stacked tumblers along the opposite wall, one machine door open, the laundry machines clearly the subject, a customer seen only from behind folding towels on a counter in the soft background, bright daylight through a storefront window.

UniMac commercial appliances,
specifically.

UniMac builds industrial laundry equipment for on-premises laundries: hotels, care homes, fire departments, correctional facilities and athletics programs that wash their own linen. These rooms run all day, so a stopped UniMac extractor or tumbler quickly backs up housekeeping or the next shift's gear.

What is particular
to UniMac.

We work on UniMac UW-series hardmount extractors from 45 to 200 lb, softmount extractors, industrial tumblers, stacked extractor and tumbler pairs, light commercial models and PPE drying cabinets. Knowing whether the machine has UniLinc Touch or the older keypad control tells us which message list applies.

Words now, codes before

Current UniMac machines with UniLinc Touch show plain-language messages rather than codes, in 34 languages. Older UW extractors with the keypad control still show short codes like E FL or E dr, so we ask which control the machine has.

It checks its own valves

UniMac's auto leak detection tests whether fill and drain valves seal, and slow drains are logged. A laundry manager can see a valve starting to fail in the audit data before it floods a cycle.

Hardmount speed needs a solid base

UW-series hardmount extractors reach up to 400 G-force on some models and carry a frame stability switch. A cracked pad or loose anchor bolts show up as a stop code long before the machine walks.

Gear drying for fire crews

UniMac sells a PPE drying cabinet that dries turnout gear without tumbling, alongside its extractors and tumblers. Fire stations often have both, and we look at the whole gear room on one visit.

Parts

UniMac parts are ordered by the serial and model number on the machine's plate, which the manual asks for with every request. Motor drives and control boards for 45 and 65 lb extractors are specific to those sizes.

Repair or replace

A UniMac hardmount extractor is built for decades of use, so valves, locks, sensors and drives are normally repaired. Replacement enters the conversation when the cylinder bearings, the drive and the control all need work on an older unit at once.

Questions about
UniMac commercial appliances.

Why does my UniMac show words instead of codes?
UniLinc Touch, the current control, is designed to show plain language in 34 languages. Older UW machines with the keypad control display short codes instead.
What does the UniMac leak check do?
It watches the water level while valves are closed. A rising level points to a fill valve and a falling level to the drain valve, both logged for the manager.
Why does a UniMac hardmount need to be anchored?
Hardmount extractors spin at very high G-force on a rigid base. If anchoring loosens, the frame stability switch stops the machine to prevent damage.
Do you service UniMac PPE drying cabinets?
Yes. We look after the gear cabinet together with the extractors and tumblers in a fire station's laundry room.
