What E105
actually means.

The CTP checks that its incoming water has enough pressure before it relies on it. E105 is called out when the pressure switch does not activate. The manual lists a disconnected or closed supply, or a blocked line, with the water filter as the place to look.

What to do when E105 shows on the commercial appliance

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Alto-Shaam's own guidance for E105 on its commercial appliances. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Check that the water supply is connected and its valve is open.

02

Look at the water filter ahead of the oven; a clogged cartridge can starve the line.

03

When supply and filter both look right and E105 remains, book a visit.

Still there?

It usually turns into dish machine repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

E105 is not the steam generator failing to fill, which roll-in models report as E01 or E51. It is also different from E57, which watches the rinse water flow alone.

Where E105 usually leads

Dish machine repair.

Dish machine tank heater or booster element, thermostat, fill valve, float switch, drain valve, wash pump seal or motor, conveyor drive · moderate.

Questions
about E105.

Can I clear E105 myself?
Check that the water supply is connected and its valve is open. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Why did my Alto-Shaam show E105 right after a filter change?
The valve may not have been fully reopened, or air is still in the line. Open the valve fully and let water run through before trying again.
Does a clogged water filter cause E105 on an Alto-Shaam?
It can. The manual points to the filter when the supply is blocked or obstructed.
Can I bake on an Alto-Shaam with E105?
Dry heat may still work, but steam needs water. A code that outlasts a good supply needs a technician.

Back to your everyday

Still showing E105?

A booking with a code goes further when it has the code as shown, the model and serial from the data plate, and a word on whether the unit still holds temperature, heats, rinses or spins. With those three, the office can match the likely part to your unit the same day.
