What E108
actually means.

The CTP measures the temperature on its relay board. E108 is called out between 140°F and 176°F, before the higher E02 limit. The manual blames a failed cooling fan or a blocked air intake.

What to do when E108 shows on the commercial appliance

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Alto-Shaam's own guidance for E108 on its commercial appliances. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Clear anything blocking the oven's sides and air intake.

02

Check that no nearby equipment is venting hot air onto the oven.

03

Book a visit before the board reaches the E02 limit if the code keeps returning.

Still there?

It usually turns into commercial controls and board repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

E108 is the early warning; E02 is the higher stage above 176°F. Neither code reports on the food or the cabinet air.

Still showing E108?

A booking with a code goes further when it has the code as shown, the model and serial from the data plate, and a word on whether the unit still holds temperature, heats, rinses or spins. With those three, the office can match the likely part to your unit the same day.
