What HA
actually means.

Dixell controls use HA where other controls print HI. The thermostat probe reads above the maximum temperature allowed by the control's alarm setting. The alarm keeps showing until the reading comes back under the limit.

What to do when HA shows on the commercial appliance

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from True Residential's own guidance for HA on its commercial appliances. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Press any key to silence the beeper, as True's Dixell section allows, then check the food with a thermometer.

02

Shut every door, clear the vents inside the cabinet and give it time to recover.

03

Move food that has been above 41°F to a working unit and log what you did.

04

If HA returns with the doors closed and the room at a normal temperature, book a visit.

Still there?

It usually turns into reach-in and prep table repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

HA is not the high-condenser or pressure alarm; Dixell reports those as PAL or through an external alarm. It is also not a probe failure, which Dixell prints as P1, P2 or P3.

Where HA usually leads

Reach-in and prep table repair.

Reach-in, pass-through or prep table gasket, hinge, fan motor, thermostat or controller, defrost heater, leak repair or compressor · moderate.

Questions
about HA.

Can I clear HA myself?
Press any key to silence the beeper, as True's Dixell section allows, then check the food with a thermometer. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
What is the difference between HA and HI on a True?
They mean the same kind of warm alarm on different controls. HA is Dixell's wording; HI, Hi and hi belong to the other makes True uses.
Does silencing HA on my True clear the alarm?
It stops the sound only. The code stays until the cabinet is cold again.
Where is the Dixell control on a True?
Its keypad and display sit where your temperature readout is; the letters XR on the control face are how True's guide tells the Dixell apart.

Still showing HA?

A booking with a code goes further when it has the code as shown, the model and serial from the data plate, and a word on whether the unit still holds temperature, heats, rinses or spins. With those three, the office can match the likely part to your unit the same day.
