What Ed06
actually means.

Ed06 is the motor drive's thermal message on 45 and 65 lb UniMac extractors. UniMac asks for air to move freely around the drive's heat sink; lint build-up inside the machine and a hot, closed laundry room are common reasons it cannot cool.

What to do when Ed06 shows on the commercial appliance

in this order.

Each step comes from UniMac's own guidance for Ed06 on its commercial appliances. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Power the machine down and let it cool.

02

Make sure the laundry room is ventilated and nothing blocks airflow around the machine.

Questions
about Ed06.

Can I clear Ed06 myself?
Power the machine down and let it cool. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Why does Ed06 appear in summer on a UniMac?
Hot rooms and heavy use leave the drive less margin to shed heat, especially if lint coats the heat sink.
Is Ed06 on a UniMac a fire risk?
It is a protective shutdown. If you notice a burning smell, cut power and book a visit.
Can I clean the UniMac drive myself?
The drive sits behind panels near live wiring; leave the cleaning to the visit.

Still showing Ed06?

A booking with a code goes further when it has the code as shown, the model and serial from the data plate, and a word on whether the unit still holds temperature, heats, rinses or spins. With those three, the office can match the likely part to your unit the same day.
