What E-92
actually means.

Several safety parts run on 24 volts, including the high limit and the drain switch. If one of them, or a solenoid valve, draws too much current, the self-resetting fuse opens and the control shows E-92.

What to do when E-92 shows on the commercial appliance

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Henny Penny's own guidance for E-92 on its commercial appliances. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Turn the fryer off and let it sit a few minutes; the fuse is self-resetting.

02

Switch it on again and watch whether E-92 returns straight away or only when a function such as filtering runs.

03

If it returns, book a visit so the shorted 24-volt part or stuck solenoid can be found.

Still there?

It usually turns into commercial controls and board repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

E-92 is a protection device doing its job, not the failed part itself. A high limit that has tripped shows E-10, and a drain left open shows E-15.

Questions
about E-92.

Can I clear E-92 myself?
Turn the fryer off and let it sit a few minutes; the fuse is self-resetting. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
What is a self-resetting fuse on a Henny Penny?
It opens when current is too high and closes again once it cools, so it clears itself. E-92 tells you it has opened at least once.
Why does E-92 appear only when we filter?
A solenoid valve used during filtering may be sticking and drawing too much current. Note when it happens so the technician can test that valve first.
Is E-92 dangerous on a Henny Penny?
The fuse protects the control circuit. The risk is downtime, but the shorted part should be found before it damages the board.

Still showing E-92?

A booking with a code goes further when it has the code as shown, the model and serial from the data plate, and a word on whether the unit still holds temperature, heats, rinses or spins. With those three, the office can match the likely part to your unit the same day.
