What is particular
to Miele Professional.

We work on Miele Professional PFD 101 U and PFD 102 i, PFD 401 U and 404 U and PG 8056 fresh-water dish machines, and on PWM 908 Little Giants laundry machines and PDR 908 HP heat-pump tumblers. Earlier Little Giants and PG models follow the same pattern of messages.

Fresh water every cycle

Miele's PG and PFD built-under machines are fresh-water dish machines, filling with clean water for each cycle rather than reusing a tank. That changes the checks we make: water pressure, inlet filters and heating matter more than tank temperature.

Leak protection that stops the machine

Both the dish machines and the Little Giants carry a Waterproof system that shuts off the water when it senses a leak. When it reacts there is no owner reset, which protects the floor but means the leak has to be found before the next load.

Words and F-numbers on the display

Miele Professional machines mix plain-language messages such as Intake or Drain with numbered F-codes for technical problems. The plain messages usually have an owner fix; the F-codes mostly mean a technician.

Disinfection that proves itself

Little Giants machines offer disinfection programs and report when a program did not reach its temperature. For clinics and care homes, that message means the load must be run again, which makes a sensor or heater repair a compliance issue as well as a laundry one.

Parts

Pumps, inlet valves, door locks, heaters and control boards are ordered by the model and serial number on the data plate. Miele parts for the Professional range are specific to it and can take longer to arrive than common commercial parts.

Repair or replace

Miele Professional machines are built for long hours, so a failed pump, valve, heater or lock is normally worth repairing. A machine with a failed main control and a damaged drum or cabinet is when replacement deserves a look.

Is a Miele Professional dish machine different from a Miele home model?
Yes. The PFD and PG machines are sold as commercial dish machines with their own programs and parts, and some take baskets made for restaurant and hotel racks.
What does it mean when a Miele Professional shows Waterproof?
Its leak protection has reacted. Turn the machine off, close the water faucet and book a visit, because the leak has to be found first.
Why won't our Miele Little Giants open after a hot program?
It keeps the door locked while the water is above 130°F to protect against scalding. The door unlocks once it cools.
Do Miele heat-pump tumblers need a drain?
Yes. They condense the water from the laundry, which leaves through a drain hose; a kinked hose shows the Check water drain message.
